Please note that during April 28-30. 2015 the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland are undertaking a review of our safeguarding practice. We invite any person who has a complaint and who has not yet come forward to please do so, either to Catherine Ryan, the Designated Person in the Rosminians, the Gardaí or the HSE.
The Rosminians wish to reiterate their apology to any one who was abused or harmed in any way by any Rosminian. We also wish to state that we are always willing to hear from anyone who was hurt in any way by a Rosminian.
We can also recommend the counselling service ‘Towards Healing‘, especially for anyone who may not wish to contact us directly.
There are three services that form the pastoral response to abuse by the Church in Ireland.
· Towards Healing, the free and confidential counselling referral service,
· Towards Peace, a free and confidential service which offers spiritual support for survivors of abuse by Church personnel, and
· The National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland.
For those who have already been to the Redress Board there is a new service called Caranua. This service can offer support, information, advice and advocacy to survivors.
